1. Use of the wheel... back to top

If you have a wheel on your mouse, you can use it to zoom in and out. With the wheel, you can also scroll up and down the lists in the interfaces.

2. Do not lose anything... back to top

By clicking the "Display Units list" icon, or pressing the key F10 you have direct access to all your units in Mankind at any moment !

3. Multiselection... back to top

Use the key Shift on the keyboard to select several vehicles at the same time.
Keep pressing Shift and click on the names of the vehicles you wish to take out.
Use also this function in the main 3D view to have an accurate multiselection.

4. Imperial missions... back to top

Don't carry out several Missions at a time, you might run out of time to complete them.

5. First Construction... back to top

It is important to start building a Base, because the links of energy and storage would be automatically created for the next constructions.

6. Mining... back to top

You can order to extract the same resource to several Mines. Select the Mines at the same time in the multi-selection frame or the key Shift, then click again on the first selected Mine to open a common interface which displays the shared resources to all the Mines. Click on the resource you want and start the extraction.

7. Storage Links... back to top

You can change your storage links by connecting a Mine to a Wharehouse or by connecting a Builder to a Cargo for example.

8. Population... back to top

Make sure your stocks contain permanently at least twice of the daily consumption of your population. Therefore, when your population increase, your stocks have to be increased as well.

9. Grouping before hyperspace jump... back to top

We advice you to carefully group your units before you jump in the hyperspace.
Use the function group, select several ships and right click on one that is not selected.
This order will prevent you from breaking up once you've jumped.

10. Destroying laboratories... back to top

If your Laboratories are destroyed, you have to develop the latest discovered technologies in a new Laboratory again.
This will take again much time but will cost no additional Credits.

11. Improve the frame rate... back to top

To speed up the frame rate when you are in an overcrowded environment with ships, turn down the "Depth of field" in the options panel at your "communication interface".

12. Avoid coming in a black hole... back to top

To change or choose the system in which you wish to log on, in the universe of Mankind, connect on the web site, rubric Players Account, then Services and finally Change the current system. Therefore you'll prevent from being stuck in a black hole.

13. virus, Trojan horse... back to top

We highly recommend to never execute a program if you don't know the origins or the use of it, even if this program comes from a friend or someone you know. Because it could be loaded with a virus or a Trojan horse and this would be very dangerous for your computer and your softwares.

14. Decay... back to top

Go and visit the systems where you are settled down several times a season, even if you don't play. It will prevent your possessions from disappearing because of the automatic function named Decay which takes place every 6 months (in all Inner Systems every 6 weeks).

16. keyboard shortcuts... back to top

Very usefull keyboard shortcuts :
Ctrl + 1,2... Create a group with selected units (groups will be lost after a change of environment)
Ctrl + F1,F2... Store the location of the Camera
Alt + 1,2... Select a Group of units (created with Ctrl + 1,2...)
Alt + F1,F2... Dispaly the location of the Camera (created with Ctrl + F1,F2...)
