Here is some basic information on how to access data published by mankind.net for your own use, such as for publication on your fan website or a Mankind news site.
Mankind.net publishes data for the use of external web sites via XML. The XML we publish is very basic and should be usable by any XML-compliant web platform.
If you are viewing this page using Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, you should be able to follow the above link and view its XML code. This page gets updated whenever anything within the universe (systems or regions) does change - however, normally the universe does not change at all.
It provides the following data : - System name
- System region X
- System region Y
- Whether or not the system does contain an Imperial Base and if it is a starting system. Used code does mean :
0 = no imperial base present
1 = imperial base present but no starting systems
2 = imperial base present and is starting systems
- Number of planets within the system
