# Is there a way to clear the F-10 list from the system guide after you no longer have units in that system ?

Sometimes an (old) system still appears in the F10 list even if a player no longer owns anything there. When the player enters the environment and then leave it again (don't need to enter with a unit; just enter), the system vanishes from the F10 list. The F-10 list is cleared out. In some cases you need to log off and in again after you have left the environment to see the system vanishing from the list.

As it's a parallel World, Mankind is open round the clock and 7 days a week. Whether you are online or not, time never stops. When you're offline, your spacecrafts stay in the World and keep on performing the orders you've allocated to them :

* Your mines keep on extracting resources
* Your factories keep on manufacturing spacecrafts
* Your freighters keep on transporting resources
* A player can attack you while you're asleep
* Your spacecrafts will then automatically fight back …

All this will happen under the eyes of other online players from all over the world... you all play in the same World !!!

# What should I do, if I want to quit playing Mankind ? Can I delete or unregister my character ?

If you want to quit playing Mankind, you don't have anything special to do... you can't delete or unregister your account.
* For Shareware Accounts :
Just leave it as it is. We only ask you to please make a reset at mankind.net -> player account if you do not want to use this account anymore - it will help us to save space for other players and reduce "useless units just standing around".
However, if you are not doing a reset, the Units Decay Rule will delete your units after 6 months in ordinar systems and after 6 weeks only in the Imperial systems where any new player start the game.

* For Full Accounts :
Just leave it as it is. You may do a reset too or give the account to a friend who wants to play...
Once the account ran out (end of the payed subscription time) the full account will automatically get a normal shareware account - nothing will be deleted; only the Units Decay Rule will still be active.

# What will happen to my units if I do not re-new my account on time ?

To subscribe again with your same previous account in Mankind, you can use various offered payment methods. (Warning : a secondhand boxset hasn't got anymore valid access code, it usually has been used by someone already, and O2OE won't provide a new access code).
You can renew from 15 days before your subscription expires.

Please have a look to the time limit displayed at your player account on the web site, where you also can directly renew your account.

On the day the subscription expires, the player account is not deleted, but it turns to a shareware account, that is to say like the players with a free access.

The player could use the Universal Technology in full access, whatever the number of units. On the other hand, all the other Technologies shall remain forbidden and stuck to him/her (but not destroyed, in the case the player would have developed other Technologies within the subscription period).

Also, constructing units will be limited like in a shareware account.
In short : No units built and developed would be deleted, but the player can only use the Universal Technology.

Note : You can renew your account several days, weeks, month (!) after it has turned into shareware. Whenever you want actually. As long as you come into the universe and visit your units (because the decay rule; please also have a look at the Online Manual). When renewing with a credit or debit card, the transaction is in US dollars, only.

# What's a guild ?

A guild is a group of players within a same organization, runs by players. It could be democratic, anarchistic, totalitarian... The players can join one of them for various reasons : a merchant could rather be in a guild whose objectives are purely commercial or economic, a mercenary would prefer services like escorts or others... More simply, a guild can be a group of friends...
Each guild is supposed to propose services to its members and supposed to be an organization on which the player will find support and assistance, and some of them have their own web site, as well. They're all listed in the page Communities.

# Why all my units have disappeared ? what is the Decay ?

The Decay is a function that occurs every 6 months (respectively 6 weeks at all Inner Base systems or expired accounts) for each account of each player, if the player doesn't visit the systems where he/she owns ships and buildings (what is called units in Mankind).
